GB 18 Acupuncture Point Location
On the head, 5 cun above the anterior hairline and 2.25 cun lateral to the midline of the head (1.5 cun posterior to GB 17).

What is the meaning of Chengling
ChengLing:”Cheng”,receive.”Ling”, the gods,refers to the Qi of the heaven. The name of “Chengling” means that the cold dampness-qi of the heaven above the head flows into the Gallbladder Meridian. The substance of this point is the yang-qi of the heaven from GB 17(Zhengying) point. After reaching this point, The qi dissipates heat and absorbs moisture and cools down. The cold dampness-qi of the heaven above the head also flows into the point that receive it,hence the name.
