What is the meaning of Zhongdu
Zhongdu: “Zhong”, middle, refers to the inside of the acupoint. “Du”, small ditches formed by the flushing of water. The name of “Zhongdu” means that the small ditches formed here after the Qi of Gall bladder Meridian turns into rain and cools down. The substance of this acupoint is the wet cloud-qi from GB 31(Fengshi) acupoint. After reaching this point, it turns into meridian water of the ground and flows through Gallbladder Channel to form a small ditch, hence the name.
