What is the meaning of Zuqiaoyin
ZuQiaoyin: “Zu”, means the point is on the foot. “Qiao”, the meaning empty. “Yin” means that the substance of this acupoint is yin-water. The name of “Zuqiaoyin” means that the water of Gallbladder Meridian returns to the empty space of the body. This acupoint is the intersection point between the body and the body surface meridians of Gallbladder Meridian. Since the Qi of the body surface meridian of Gallbladder Meridian is the ground water, which is located at a high position, so it flows back into the body through the ground pore of this point, hence the name.
